Tech Hive Labs (THL) is a European innovation hub specializing in robotics, artificial intelligence, automation, machine vision and advanced engineering.

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for the full-cycle design, development, and commissioning of industrial automation solutions including custom machinery and robotic systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong analytical skills, and is passionate about turning complex conceptual requirements into robust, manufacturable mechanical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Lead the design of mechanical assemblies and components for industrial machinery from concept through final documentation.
• DFM/DFA Implementation: Ensure all designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA) to maximize efficiency and minimize cost.
• Technical Documentation: Create high-quality engineering drawings, detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions, ensuring strict adherence to GD&T standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with electrical engineers and software teams to ensure seamless integration of sensors, actuators, and control systems into the mechanical framework.
• Vendor Liaison: Communicate directly with equipment vendors, machine shops and fabrication partners to troubleshoot production issues and ensure part quality.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional experience specifically in industrial machinery or product design.
• Strong grasp of mechanical fundamentals, including power transmission, pneumatics and structural mechanics.
• Proven track record of active involvement in the physical assembly, debugging and shop-floor testing of machinery. Must be comfortable utilizing standard hand tools and measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) and diagnostic tools to validate proper mechanical function.
