In Greece, CRS works closely with Caritas partners in support of asylum seekers and recognized refugees. Current programming includes included cash assistance, accommodation, livelihoods, and supports to integrate into Greek society. The Hellenic Integration Support for Beneficiaries of International Protection and Temporary Protection (HELIOS) is designed to support self-reliance through a sustainable integration mechanism. Managed by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with funding from the Greek Ministry of Migration and Asylum, the project includes integration courses, accommodation support and other components to support integration. In partnership with Caritas Hellas and Caritas Athens, CRS is a key HELIOS partner, including managing ICT4D tools that facilitate the accommodation component of the project.

Job Summary

As a member of the HELIOS project team, you will collect, organize, analyze, and visualize data that enables overall project success in support of CRS’ work serving the poor and vulnerable. With attention to data security and confidentiality, your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices
  • Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. Assist partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences
  • Support accountability through coordinating project evaluation activities and assisting partners in their efforts to collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools
  • Collect information on staff capacity needs and technical assistance needs of partner organizations and monitor capacity building and technical support activities to ensure effective impact
  • Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising good practices
  • Proactively engage and strengthen partnerships with Caritas Hellas and Caritas Athens team through regular communication
  • Collaborate with local partner(s) to prepare reports per established reporting schedule and contribute to reporting and provision of accurate and up to date information to project management team and other stakeholders
  • Use and contribute to maintaining a data system containing confidential information on beneficiary demographics and eligibility for project support and monthly support provision and proactively identify and support troubleshooting for any problems that arise within database
  • Ensure the Safeguarding Policy & Code of Conduct and Ethics is communicated to and understood by relevant stakeholders (through ongoing, age-appropriate, contextualized verbal and/or written information shared in local language)

Typical Background, Experience & Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Information Technologies, statistics, database development/ data management or another related field is a plus. Additional experience may substitute for some education
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in project support. Experience managing large databases and for an NGO would be a plus
  • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI) required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement • Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred • Experience with CommCare and/or AppSheet preferred
