HR & Finance Team Leader – Athens – MSF

Position objectives 

The HR & Finance Team Leader main responsibility is to expeditiously manage and supervise all daily administrative Accounting, HR and Legal requirements and tasks and ensure MSF Greece conformity with Greek legislation (Social Security, other authorities and third parties) for all matters related with the missions in Greece. Its aim is to enhance the quality and efficiency of MSF response to the needs of the populations MSF is assisting in the country.

Responsibilities of the position

  • Ensure and keep track of MSF Greek section conformity with Greek legislation (Ministry of Labor Law, Social Security, other authorities and third parties) for all matters related with the missions in Greece.
  • Liaise between HR Coordinators/Finance Coordinators and MSF Greece in order to address all admin/fiscal issues in the best possible way and in accordance to the procedures set.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to Operations on Accounting, HR and payroll related issues.
  • Supervise HR admin tasks and labor related issues such as keep track of personal file completions and update private insurance activation and cancellation, payroll system for the leaves, shifts, overtimes etc.
  • Supervise the execution of all SSU related tasks, ensuring the adherence to the Labor & Tax Legislation.
  • Supervise, evaluate and support the SSU team members (3 members).
  • Handle and consult for any HR/Fin legal matter that arise from Operations.

Selection criteria

  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR or other relevant studies
  • MBA or MSc in Finance/HR or other related studies will be considered a plus.
  • Minimum working experience of 6 years in the area of accounting/HR with at least 2 years in managerial position
  • Experience in an audit firm is desirable.
  • Proficient knowledge of Tax, Labour Law & payroll
  • Excellent command of Greek and English oral and written
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Suite
  • Familiarity with the ERP/Pylon payroll software will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of the French language is desirable
  • Previous working experience in MSF or in NGO will be highly appreciated.
