Accounting and Reporting Coordinator – Athens – Actionaid

ActionAid Hellas (AAH) is searching for an Accounting and Reporting Coordinator, to join a global movement of committed individuals working to further human rights and defeat poverty.

The Accounting and Reporting Coordinator will:

  • Coordinate and administer all accounting transaction activities according to the Greek GAAP and Tax legislation
  • Manage proper bookkeeping of expense related documents
  • Coordinate vendor and expense accounts reconciliation
  • Make reconciliations and prepare financial tax statements, ie. VAT declaration, withholding tax where applicable
  • Processes monthly Payroll and people cost-related postings (social security, payroll taxes, medical, etc.)
  • Overview and reconcile sub-systems with the G/L (debtors, suppliers, fixed assets, etc.)
  • Coordinate the external auditing procedures, timeline, and audit deliverables
  • Make recommendations on policies and procedures, and provide contingency plans proactively


We are currently recruiting a dynamic professional with an academic degree in accounting, finance, or other related fields and at least three (3) years of working experience in relevant positions to Coordinate and administer ActionAid Hellas financial and accounting entries and ensure compliance with the Greek Accounting & Taxation authorities. Actively contribute to the development of annual financial statements and ensure proper implementation of all the Financial Management Framework (FMF) according to ActionAid International financial policies & procedures strategies. We are looking for a professional with demonstrated experience in ERP systems along with project management and analytical thinking skills.
