Job Purpose Overview

For our Center of Competence, we are currently looking for a Sales Steering Manager based in one of the countries where we operate and working with a hybrid concept. This position is responsible for supporting the Global Lead for Commercial in identifying and maximizing commercial opportunities through appropriate external research, analysis and evaluation of a variety of data sources. Creates and uses reports and insights from the internal CRM system and other sources to identify opportunities and trends and to support decision-making.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Global Lead for Commercial in providing marketing direction for destination commercial teams to achieve volume and revenue targets​
  • Undertakes research, analysis and evaluation of external market and competitive activity to identify potential opportunities and risks
  • Regularly monitor, report on and analyse the Global and Local sales performance and activities via CRM platform and other sources
  • Identifies opportunities for Cross Selling ​and supports co-ordination across destinations of sales and marketing activity
  • Assist with Sales / Steering issues, including utilization of CRM platform for active sales pipeline management
  • Operational management of the CRM platform including system improvements and maintenance, ensuring all DMCs actively work in the CRM system
  • Monitor progress against business cases and commercial plans

Your Experience and Qualifications:

  • BA degree or higher
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the leisure, travel and tourism industry; with minimum 2 years experience in sales steering
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; any other languages is a plus
  • Experience in managing data sets and visualization
  • Experience with reporting and analysis from a CRM system (ideally Zoho)
  • Positive, highly motivated, analytical and results-oriented
