Apifon: Associate, Accountant

Our fast growing accounting team is expanding and we are looking for the best candidate to join the group. 

If you are an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills this job is for you! Associate Accountant can expect to assist the Accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Providing support to the Accounting Department.
• Performing office tasks, such as:
o Filing,
o Data entry,
o Processing the mail, etc.
o Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
o Processing transactions, all data entry, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, Create and update expense reports etc
o Process reimbursement forms
o Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
o Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
o Prepare bank deposits
o Review and file payroll documents
o Maintain digital and physical financial records
• Preparing financial reports.
• Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.

Desired Qualifications

• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Associate’s degree in related field with at least 2 years of work experience .
• Familiarity with basic Accounting principles and regulations.
• Familiarity with finance regulations
• Top-notch oral, written (English and Greek)
