To meet our current corporate needs, we would like to bring to our team a Database Administrator (DBA).
As our new Database Administrator (DBA) you will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of the INTRALOT Group Databases. Additionally, you will develop solutions, related to databases, by using our available tools and technologies. You will also need to provide your support and technical expertise to any database-related problem that may come up!
More specifically, the successful candidate will undertake to:
Design & Implementation: in this role, you will design, install, configure & maintain Databases of various flavors on Premises, Cloud or Hybrid (MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL), implement database-related security measures, and conduct research for new applications on Database technology.
Operate and Monitor Databases: you will be responsible to operate & monitor databases as well as develop relevant operation & monitoring techniques
Documentation & Support: developing & maintaining technical documentation is a must in this position. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support services, addressing related incidents and service requests.
Administrative tasks Promotions on all instances, code changes, recompiles, data changes, cloning, relocate, rename Instances, performance Issues, query optimization, installation of new Instances, changes on the configuration, patching and updates, troubleshooting.
Escalate to Vendors in order to resolve issues, such as bug fix requests.
Key Challenges of our job opening:
You will be joining a team that manages corporate database systems of high complexity, multiple versions and large data volumes!
Handing rapid changes and product transformations which must be evaluated at once
Thus, in this role, you need to keep yourself up to date & aligned with new technologies!
Please note that in this role could require to work on shifts, including weekends (on call support)
Requirements
To be a successful candidate, your profile should match the following criteria:
Ideally, you have earned your University / College Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or relevant technology field
A proven record of minimum three (3) years working experiencein database administration
Expert knowledge of MySQL is mandatory
Good knowledge in one, or even more, of the following: PostgreSQL, Oracle RDBMS, MongoDB, MS SQL Server
You have an excellent command of the Greek & English language, both written and spoken
Completed military obligations for male candidates
