Job Summary:

You will coordinate the provision of responsive, effective, and efficient administrative services in support of the Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) mission to serve the poor and vulnerable. You will help ensure stewardship of resources and a high-quality service approach are integrated into administrative systems, policies, and procedures.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and report on activities and required resources to ensure cost efficient and quality service delivery from administrative support functions
  • Help ensure administrative systems, processes, and policies are in line with agency standards and donor and local law regulations
  • Act as an asset custodian and help ensure maintenance of the cash card inventory for the needs of the Cash Assistance Project
  • Prepare relevant documentation for the distribution of the cash cards to Cash Project partners
  • Coordinate provision of any logistical and administrative support to staff and partners
  • Engage with relevant external stakeholders (government officials, service providers, etc.) on assigned administrative and project matters and help ensure required authorizations and documents are up to date
  • Coordinate the efficient use of CP assets and rented facilities. Help ensure fully compliant procurement of office materials and asset management systems.

Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Additional education may substitute for some experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in project support, ideally for an NGO.
  • Experience working with stakeholders at various levels and strengthening community partnerships.
  • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with partners, participatory action planning and community engagement.

Personal skills:

  • Analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to make sound judgment.
  • Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented.
  • Attention to details, accuracy, and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities.

Required Languages – English: Good command on written and verbal skills

Travel – Non expected

Key Working Relationships Supervisory: None

Internal: Programming Teams, Operations teams

External: Caritas Athens, Ministry of Migration and Asylum, other Humanitarian Stakeholders
