Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international independent medical and humanitarian action-driven organization that offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. The MSF movement is built around 5 Operational Centers (OC) supported by 26 sections and offices worldwide.
CONTEXT
MSF section in Greece was founded as an Association in 1990 and is a partner of MSF Spain within the OCBA (Operational Centre in Barcelona) network. The MSF office in Greece is responsible for the recruitment of expatriate personnel for the missions, communication and fundraising activities, and program support to the operations.
MSF in Greece provides humanitarian and medical assistance to the refugee and migrant populations fleeing conflict in their home countries and following a migration route via Greece and the Balkans towards Northern Europe.
The Support Service Unit is especially dedicated to undertake fully specific administrative and financial tasks concerning the function of MSF operations in Greece. Its aim is to enhance the quality and efficiency of MSF response to the needs of the populations MSF is assisting in the country.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
To lead the Acquisition & Loyalty Fundraising Pillar by developing and implementing donor acquisition & loyalty plans, across multiple channels and tools, with the objective to enlarge the social base and maximize the private & mid donors’ engagement with MSF, as well as the income related to these donors and their Life Time Value.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
Under the supervision of FR & Communications Director, works with key stakeholders to develop and implement MSF Greece’s Acquisition & Loyalty strategy and annual plans
Achieves specified fundraising targets, ensuring all short-and long-term targets are met, regularly reviewing Acquisition & Loyalty revenue, expenses and KPIs
Manages the Acquisition Officer and the CRM &Loyalty Officer
Manages, monitors and evaluates relations with key service providers of the Acquisition & Loyalty communication cycle (printing companies, advertising agencies, etc.)
Defines and in collaboration with FR & Comms team members, implements various relationship management plans (communication cycle, mailings, telemarketing, events etc.) for different segments and sources: new and existing private donors, mid donors, lapsed donors, regular donors, offline & online, etc. to retain and expand the number of active donors’ and the funds raised from them
Defines and implements the strategy of accountability and transparency to donors using the most appropriate tools
Coordinates digital acquisition and loyalty activities (e.g. crowdfunding, Peer-to-Peer campaigns)
Supervises the proper Donors Relationship Management and donors’ data management through the organization’s CRM system
Participates in International FR meetings
Monitors and coordinates requests addressed to the Acquisition & Loyalty Team members
Analysis and Initiative
Initiates creative Acquisition & Loyalty solutions/ideas based on context analysis and MSF brand needs.
Prepares and submits to the FR & Communications Director monthly, quarterly and annual reports of Acquisition & Loyalty related activities
SELECTION CRITERIA
Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or in a relevant discipline. Postgraduate studies will be considered a plus.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
Excellent knowledge of monitoring, evaluating, reporting and forecasting against plans and budget.
Expert understanding of the marketing and media landscape in Greece.
Fluency in Greek and English both oral and written.
Prior working experience in an NGO is an asset. Field experience with MSF or other international NGOs will be considered a plus.
Good command of IT tools (excel, word, power point) and digital marketing platforms (email, Social Media, CMS)
