The Office of Advancement seeks a full time Insights and Reporting Specialist to co-ordinate and lead the collection, entering, maintenance, analysis and reporting of all data required for the office operations and implementation of the key strategic initiatives in the areas of fundraising, stewardship and alumni engagement across The American College of Greece. The successful candidate must be entrepreneurial and see stories in the translated data to help the team achieve its ambitious goals; A team-player who works independently and regularly steps up to help with tasks not in the job description like the support of events. “Cultural Fit” and flexibility are critical in this small office with a big job.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Business or Finance.
Excellent command of both English and Greek language.
Minimum of 3 years in the areas of data science, analytics, business intelligence and reporting.
Experience of working in fast – paced environments.
Additional database, software or other technical skill will be considered a plus.
Social analytics experience will also be considered a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate (collect, enter, maintain, analyse and report) data in all office databases, CRM and on-line platforms to support the Department’s operational strategy as well as improve fundraising, stewardship, reporting and constituents’ engagement across ACG.
Record all incoming donations.
Manipulate data from the records system to support all internal and external alumni and fundraising reporting to enable the decision-making process, stewarding, and moves management and ensure compliance to the agreed institutional reporting procedures.
Perform analysis, assess the validity and integrity of data, identify trends and impact and suggest effective means of utilizing the data to promote informed decision-making processes and assessment of institutional performance.
Perform and record research on Advancement Office constituents to be used internally for profiling and solicitation.
Meet data and reporting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and thorough manner.
Consistently follow training to develop and further the technical and analytical skills needed to support the office operations.
Provide training to office staff in the proper use of all office databases, CRM and on-line platforms and provide technical support and prepare technical manuals.
Support the multifaceted Advancement Office operations (alumni, events, fundraising, etc.) as requested by his/her supervisor and as needs arise.
Work with both the GR and US based team members with the flexibility to be adjustable to international working hours.
Required Skills:
Team player.
Advanced IT skills (experience in SQL, SSMS, CRM systems and Power BI) and knowledge of Microsoft Cloud software applications (e.g. Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
Experience in querying relational databases, in qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques as well as in identifying and understanding of data quality and integrity issues.
Ability to synthesize data and analysis into impactful, “storytelling”, action-orientated reports for internal stakeholders.
Knowledge of reporting, statistical and accounting principles.
Highly numerate with an ability to work with a meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to take initiative, work with minimum supervision and juggle multiple tasks at once.
Organizational and time management skills.
Ability to develop innovative approaches, not being afraid to break convention and willingness to be a revolutionary within this business
Ability to understand and interpret complex technical guidance
Proactively review delivery of their areas of responsibility to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
