1. a qualified Marine Superintendent to join the Dry division of our Marine Operations department where (s)he will:
- liaise with the Master on a wide range of issues to ensure safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of the fleet
- regularly attend vessels for Audits, 3rd party inspections and dry docks
- prepare well-documented replies in reaction to 3rd party inspections and audits
- keep abreast of changes in international rules and regulations and Vetting requirements
- train crew in safe navigation and efficient operation during vessel attendance
- interview officers and evaluate their performance
- actively participate in office fleet meetings
The ideal candidate:
- holds a Captain Class A diploma
- has a minimum of two years sea-going experience as a Master on board B/Cs
- has an excellent command of the English language
- possesses strong communication, negotiation and organization skills
- is computer literate, flexible and resilient
- enjoys being part of a dynamic team
CV’s of candidates with a Captain Class B diploma and at least four years experience as C/O on board B/Cs will also be taken into account.
Experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage.
2. an Assistant Superintendent Engineer to join our Technical Department where (s)he will:
- Provide assistance to Superintendent Engineer(s)
- Monitor vessels’ operations, performance and maintenance
- Attend class inspections, dry dockings & repairs and special projects
The ideal candidate:
- holds an MSc in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering
- is fluent in English
- has strong communication & IT skills
- has an eye for detail and a methodical approach to work, and
- enjoys being part of a dynamic team
A few years experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage.
3. a Crew Officer to join its Crew department where (s)he will:
- liaise with affiliated Manning Agencies abroad
- ensure that crew is properly selected and prepared for employment
- coordinate crew travels with travel / manning / port agents and ship, and
- keep in close contact with seafarers and their families
The ideal candidate:
- has a University degree in Shipping studies
- has an excellent command of the English language
- possesses good communication and interpersonal skills
- is flexible and resilient
- is IT literate
- is willing and able to travel abroad for extended periods
This is an excellent opportunity for a people-oriented University graduate who is seeking to pursue a career as Crew Officer but does not yet have the required experience as extensive training is provided.
Tests may form part of the selection procedure.
