Energy demand

E3-Modelling is looking for a motivated energy demand analyst to join its Energy Demand Modelling Team. The position is based in Athens (headquarters). We welcome candidates with a strong interest in and knowledge of the EU policy agenda for buildings and/or industry.

The analyst will run models that solve complex energy planning and policy assessment problems. Preparing data input, analyzing model outputs, and drafting policy analysis reports are among the key tasks of the team and a learning ground for the new team member.

The analyst will be involved in high-standing international consulting projects for clients including the European Commission, national, governments and large companies.

Job Functions

• Energy demand modelling – buildings and/or industry

 • Data analysis

 • Use of modelling software GAMS, python, R

 Qualifications

 • BSc or MSc in engineering, economics, applied mathematics or physics

• Experience in climate policy analysis, economics and quantitative methods will be appreciated

• Proficient in English

• Analytical acumen

• Problem-solving and proactive attitude

• Previous experience with GAMS/python/R desirable

• Proficient use of MS Office

Transport System Modeller

 E3-Modelling is looking for a transport system modeller to join its Transport Modelling Team in Athens (headquarters) and become involved in high-standing international consulting projects for clients including the European Commission, national governments, and large companies.

The modeller will build and run models that solve complex transportation planning and policy assessment problems. Preparing data input, analyzing model outputs, and drafting policy analysis reports are among the key tasks of the job.

The position also requires knowledge of the energy and environmental aspects of the transport sector (e.g., policies reducing energy consumption and emissions from the sector).

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in economics, engineering, mathematics and/or physics.

• Prior knowledge of energy, economy and/or environmental aspects of the transport sector, demonstrated by at least 2 years of professional experience (or PhD) in transport with a focus on energy-policy analysis, economics, and quantitative methods.

 • Modelling and data analysis skills demonstrated by previous experience in GAMS/python/R.

• Professional use of MS Office.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Analytical acumen.
